The jury was convinced that the experiment of the green façade gives the KII an iconographic note. All in all, a place with a strong presence has been created that is excellently embedded in the urban context and sets a positive impulse in the city. The building adapts to its surroundings with a different façade on each side. Lost urban links were revived. The commission particularly appreciated the courage in the implementation of the green west and north façades. It also rated as particularly successful the newly created range of visual relationships that were created in the shops through the recessed levels behind the glass fronts.
