Savings potential: more efficient management
Whether measures are taken that lead to greater sustainability and thus also reduce costs depends on the corresponding investments. As a result, heating systems are only "sometimes" replaced. The same applies to the replacement of windows, roof renovations or the use of intelligent building control systems. So-called green leases still play a subordinate role when it comes to letting - especially when it comes to renewing existing tenancy agreements. These are the findings of a recent trend survey conducted by B&L Property Management (B&L PM) and RUECKERCONSULT among property managers on potential savings in property management. The majority of the property managers surveyed stated that the property portfolios they manage are in the good midfield on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of modern technology: Around 67 per cent of managers rated the properties at between 6 and 7, but only 14 per cent scored between 8 and 9, meaning that the majority of property portfolios do not yet meet modern technical standards.
