HANDLING OVER THE KEYS TO A MONUMENT

Built in the 1930s for Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG, the iconic building is centrally located at the intersection of the main railway station and the Westenhellweg pedestrian zone. This month, B&L Group successfully completed the challenging refurbishment of the listed building and its transformation into a modern hotel.

On 31 March, B&L Real Estate GmbH handed over the property to the operator, Deutsche Hospitality. The new IntercityHotel Dortmund has 230 guest rooms and a spacious conference area. The opening is planned for mid-April. The hotel will remain in the portfolio for the long term.
